Waiting for a Miracle (and what it's teaching me about us)

I have a little girl I get to hold in a couple days. My wife and I have been waiting over nine months for her arrival. (She’s LATE!!)

Life feels like it is on hold.

I have so much I want to share and teach her. Its bottling up.

This moment while I wait is palpable. I’m about to witness a miracle. This moment of a baby entering the world reminds me that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.

I think it’s worth sharing with you what I hope I can share with her. I think it applies to all of us:

You have inherent worth.
Your mistakes do not define you.
Pay attention to your inner voice - choose carefully.
You are enough.

The end of September starts the sprint to the finish line to the holidays for construction. Tempers can flare. Fatigue can set in. A mistake can happen on a job.

As the days get shorter and nights get longer, we can be a light for each other.

People think it takes big headlines to make a difference.

It can be one kind word that makes all the difference.

Wishing you a blessed week.

Onward,
Matt
